I had the opportunity to interview with Scott Stalling about the origin of PrepperCon and what we can all look forward to this coming April 21-22 2017.
It is important to know that this show isn't just about "bunkar building". It's to educate everyone on self reliance. We all need to remember that each of us are responsible for ourselves even in the day to day things; not just in a catastrophe. Knowing what to do, knowing what to have and how to use it is also important.
So many people buy equipment, but don't actually know how to use it during a time of need. We all need to be better trained so that we are ready. Better equipment doesn't make us better prepared unless we are better trained on it. This in turn will give us a better understanding of what we need, when we need it and how to use it in a time of need.
Scott also mentioned the need for network prepping. Network prepping is about having a group of friends or community that all specialize in things to work together. We don't all have to be experts at everything, but if we can all learn important skills, aquire needed equipment and network, we make for a stronger community in times of need.
